Ghosts of Christmas Present

First I must share:

"Herald" Sept 1, 2003-Dec. 21, 2005

.....ok, ok just a Betta, yes? Well, the story about this special fish was that I bought him the day after I had to put my Pug down I had to have some sort of 'movement' while the kids were in school! I had to have something to take care of...he was a very reactive fish- he would jump for his food, I could even 'pet' him (probably not a good thing to do..) but he would allow it!  Herald really helped while I grieved over losing my beloved pug, Sally.

Now to share some positive news...there is BAKING in our household!

Some gifts shared....that is Merry Belle (TY) helping with the picture!

My first ever FRUITCAKES! Do not laugh! I even have a friend, I won't mention any names...that thought it was a joke!

..Before...

After.... Pecan Strudel...bustin' at the seams!  I'm in the middle of making Chocolate Butter Cookies and regular Sugar Cookies (dough in the refrig.)

Unfortunately, I have the *coughs* today..deep in the chest type.... I don't even want to think about it......

the stove is still on and I'm still on the roll!

I can only imagine how delicious your house must smell. I really hope you beat the cold into submission - take very good care of yourself so it doesn't go into pnuemonia!!
