Sunday at Dog Beach

I've just completed a wonderful post and I was checking spelling and 'run-time error' and POOF...gone!   URG!  ANYWAY, as I was saying:

I was pondering the time I post is when people on the east coast has posted, read their blogs, and out the door! I feel like I'm always behind in the Pacific time zone!

Look what my wonderful husband brought home on my birthday....yes, I'm stretching it out....

The Dog Beach was a little chilly, windy, but clear and beautiful!

Meeting friends... 'No way, am I getting in there!' says the Pug.

As many of my friends know, a year ago August I had to put my Pug down. The owners were explaining how their pug never plays with other dogs well and she just loved Nugget!   I had to conclude that is was Sally's angel coming through :)

I know they loved the wind....

This is for Cathy!  Low tide left these tiny shells... and a beautiful black one.

Oh, and we can't forget this cutie: I couldn't get him to look at me.. and he was shivering! He was a cute little Jack Russell....

Ah, winter in Southern California.....  (I do miss the SNOW though, so please keep posting your fires and snow pictures on your blogs folks!)

Yesterday:

My need for adventure continued- I knew I want to do something- to snap out of my thoughts from the last post. So Nugget and I took a hike:

I decided to hike in the Mission Trails area! Two years I've lived here and never explored. This bridge was amazingly 'loose' as it had a sway to it!?

I spot a hill to hike to see what was on the other side..of course...distances were deceiving as the hill was steeper that I thought, but we both loved it. Kind of funny- I must note the numerous signs concerning mountain lions...hmmm. I think with my breathing I would have scared them off! here was the view at the top.

Nestled in the background below is San Diego in the fog..it was such a nice cool morning. This is winter in Southern California. Now, I have to admit - since being from mountains of Colorado, I was wanting a little more scenery and a little less noise, but is was nice just to 'get away'. You can see my Blazer tucked behind the tree beyond the bridge! 

Along the trails you could see the reminisce of  the awful '03 fires ...it was amazingly close to the city of course the neighbors of the north were not spared. With the scarred branches you see growth. Something we can apply to our lives.

It's always nice to see a succulent flower! I almost view them like I do mushrooms....conditions have to be correct- balance has to be met!
