I've kept you in suspense long enough! Those hearts were for this cute little purse!
I have made this small purse for a little girl in my son's class that he is friend's with...there is also a small box of chocolates inside! She is such a sweet girl and hugs me every time I see her. I know she is going to be so surprised!!!
I used a N hook...which for me just felt huge! I'm a doily/steel crochet gal...but if I use yarn I love using G or H! So N hook gave me a hand cramp until I got used to it. I also have a pattern book of rugs that requires N, so I suppose I should get used to it! I used Red Heart (how appropriate) Light & Lofty- color was "wine". It is similar to Lion's Brand Homespun, but about $3 cheaper! I was pleasantly surprised....perhaps not as soft. For this project it was just fine! I have a whole 'bunch' of Homespun for an afghan that is still in the line-up!!
Well, I'm not one to get 'sporty' on anyone...but we are awaiting the Super Bowl and my son and I are thinking Pittsburgh and my daughter and husband think Seattle! Unfortunately, the kids and I are home and my husband has 'duty', so he will be watching it in the Chief's Mess on the ship....where they have a great big plasma screen anyway so we can't cry too much for him, and he made sure he scheduled his time 'on watch' for before the game (he is the 'watch standing coordinator' for his division) so he's got it planned out! :)
Pitts-24 Sea-21..... let's see if I'm right? ...I sure wouldn't bet on it though!!!
