Well, there has been a break in the awful heat...as you know, we have no air and even with all fans blowing (ceiling and stand alone) it was from 86-90 inside for a greater part of three weeks. This weekend a certain sailor came home and wouldn't you know that is when the cooler weather came in ;) so I can think...amazing how your head gets with the heat. I have nothing to show for it and not sure of what I did during that time ;)
I just have to share what my Traveling Swap Woman sent me for our KTC Swap:
and these gorgeous-cute handmade stitch markers !
I just read the intro to the book she sent me..and I just can't wait to start it! The washcloth, if you will click on it, has a PAWPRINT and the other one represents our military service :) Love it! The merino yarn, the fabric, the stickers, and a beautiful card to explain the meaning behind each items. THANK YOU so much Melanie...what a great package! What a great group we have...and the projects people are coming out with with this months book is just remarkable!
I can think....or is it 'I Think I Can' ??? I faltered this week, folks...I had only three work out days and many bad eating days....but drank a lot of water. I can blame the heat, but it's ME not the heat! ..but I was not about to cook in such sweltering days (great excuse I used to the max)...this definitely was my worse week...my watch is still in it's container! (that was my reward if goal met) THEN, this morning I go to my Monday Choose To Move and what is the title? "Lapsing and Snapping Back"...with preventative strategies and stress & food awareness. hmmm....I should have had this last week! It's not too late, though! Let me leave you with this that spoke to me this morning:
"Don't underestimate yourself. Determined women like you are real problem solvers and if you can't find a solution anywhere else- make one up! Have self- awareness and plan of action!"
You're welcome!
