"N" is my 14 yr old daughter! She is an awesome kid who loves loves to read, listen to music, and play the flute! Next year she will be in HIGH SCHOOL!!! She is one of a kind.
-- Hi this is "N" I'm soon to be Queen of this planet so practice bowing now. Just kidding. LOL 0.o XD
Well, I kind of took over my moms blog. That's a start right? Here's some of my mom's great work:
Drum roll please...
Your one and only, Your Queenlyness.
Oh, geez....I got up for just a second to say goodbye to T as he goes out the door for his last day of the all week field trip to Old Town ..and look what happens?? A hijacked blog of sorts...where the keys could not grow cold...but that pretty much sums up our "N"- a very talented and imaginative person who ....who will take over the world..muhahahaha Will you just SCRAM!!!!!???? oh, so she says I have to give her a ride this morning to school.....should I use bungee cords for the rack on top of the blazer?
OK! She is off to school...you can see we have a lot of fun :) In her picture is the finished knitted beaded black purse I made for her. It worked a lot quicker than I thought it would ..since this was my first experience at knitting with beads. Very fun! Addicting in a way...I used black Red Heart yarn. As plain as you can get, but the texture was perfect for this project. The charms, purse top, and chain are from Wal-Mart. The only error is that the purse top opens wider than the project allows and as such the liner doesn't accommodate it as well as it should.
No, it's not a shriveled up orange slice! You know...kids imagination! This is the finished body of the Canteen Bag from Fall 2005 Interweave Knits! I had put it off so long...I was stuck with two orange circles and not too sure how to attach them together with the green. (You might recognize that yarn, C!) I had started the side panel two times and finally the third I got it! The flap and the strap are the only things left! Again, first felting project, so I'm just trusting this puckered look for now!!!!
That black knitted-and-beaded purse is way hip! Your daughter is a lucky gal! What pattern did you use? I haven't yet tried knitting with beads, sounds like it is not rocket science after all?
